Sick day surprise!

Yesterday, Claire and I went to the mailbox as we typically do and found the nicest surprise--a package addressed to Claire "Pistol" Troutwine. Pistol was our nickname for her when I was pregnant. We opened the package to find this adorable onesie and a cute tshirt from Uncle Ben and Aunt Chelsie. We love them both and love you guys!! Thanks for this nice unexpected gift. Can't wait to see you both in November.

The little patient

We took Claire to her pediatrician late yesterday at the suggestion of Linda (her daycare provider) and I'm so glad we did! She has RSV. Other than her terrible cough she is happy so the little patient is swinging and squealing as I type this. We had breakfast (bananas) outside this morning and I'm staying home with her again since she is contagious and we don't want her daycare friends to get sick. Hope everyone has a great weekend and is feeling well!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Mary & Uncle Brad!

Claire was such a little peanut in these pics (taken in February 2011)! Cannot wait to see you both next week! WE LOVE YOU!! Happy birthday! True story: when Brad was much younger it frustrated him soooo much that Mary was younger but celebrated her birthday 2 whole days before him. I think he is finally over that.

Weekend

We had a fun weekend in KC but I forgot our camera  there so these phone pics are all I have to post. Adam and I went to a very nice couples shower for Scott and Lucretia while Claire played with Nana and Doc (thanks again for babysitting!!). Then we went to Mason's Dr. Seuss themed 2nd birthday party which was amazing (bounce house, great food, friends, the list goes on). Adam did some determined dunking (basketball) and dancing and messed up his left foot pretty badly (boot up to his knee and crutches for a while). Great weekend despite the injury...

Grandma, Aunts, and Cousins, Oh My!

Aunt Cindy is back in Missouri from Austin for the week and we were so glad she came to visit last night and glad she got to meet Claire. She made the trip to Columbia with Aunt Gayle and Elizabeth. Aunt Meredith and Nana also came in to visit so it was 7 Troutwine women and Adam (we missed you Chelsie & Grandma Marcia). We enjoyed sitting on the patio and loved the cooler weather.

Adam arrived at home just in time to give Claire a bath tonight! He was out of town for work since Tuesday so we were really excited to see him!

Happy Birthday to the best Nana! I love you so much and hope that you have a wonderful birthday. Thanks for making my dad the best dad any girl could ask for.
