Summer Solstice

We spent the longest day of the year at Doc and Nana's pool! Fun! When it finally got dark enough we got to watch Frozen at the little park across the street and Claire's head almost exploded.

Claire now knows about Chuck E Cheese's. The secret is out. She was invited to a fun outdoor birthday party but due to rain the party was moved. She kept calling it "Chunky Cheese" and loved it. Ugh.

Memorial Day 2014

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Thanks to all the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice, to all who currently are serving and especially to Uncle Brad and Uncle Ryan. We love you.

Wild weekend

The definition of 'wild weekend' has really changed over the years. This weekend was really tame but we went to see some wild animals on Friday and Saturday. Girls loved it. Nora is a little Elmyra Duff. She looooooves animals. She was in her element surrounded by goats, monkeys, elephants, etc.

Nora's 1st birthday and Mother's Day

We had a small family party for Nora this weekend (her birthday falls on Wednesday this year). It was great to celebrate our little lady. What a wonderful, exhausting and fun year this has been. Nora is such a blessing and her feisty little spirit completes our family. We are excited about all of the new adventures another year will bring (with our new cowgirl boots--thanks Uncle Ben and Aunt Chelsie)!

Nora: 11 months

This lil cutie is almost 1!! She loves her new toothbrush and wouldn't drop it to take this picture yesterday. Claire 'helped' me take these pictures, you can see her tiny foot in the upper right corner. And Adam managed to break his foot over the weekend while stepping down from a curb. But this is about Nora. She is wonderful! Still very loud. We do not use baby monitors--there is no need. If she is upset you know it. She loves to eat, loves to crawl around and roll this pink bouncy ball. She is still so sweet and funny. Nora talks a lot. She says up and I think she tries to say bottle and bird. We love her so much.
