Spring Snow

On Saturday night/Sunday morning it snowed (again) about 8-10 inches in Kansas City. It was enough snow that we didn't leave the house all day. Claire and Adam played in the snow for a while in the morning and Adam and I shoveled the driveway and cars while Claire napped. We did a few other things to fill the day:

Dyeing Easter eggs for the first time

Making chocolate cookies and licking the beater

Okay, enough snow. Bring on Spring!! Claire is wearing a special sweater that Granny knit for her. It is so great for a busy little 2 year old because it zips in the back. Thanks, Granny!

St. Patrick's Day 2013

St. Patrick's Day 2013 was cold and rainy but  3/16 wasn't too bad. We met up with the G's and went to the Brookside parade. Claire LOVES Mac. Hard to believe these two are going to have siblings in the next 8-10 weeks! 

Art Enthusiast

Sunday was a cold, rainy day so we decided to go to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art not far from Waldo. We had a great time! One of the docents told us that he could tell Claire was a true art enthusiast  Hmmmm...maybe it was the way she maniacally ran from one gallery to the next? We will definitely go back again soon to see a lot of the art we missed as we tried to keep up with our little girl.

Snow Day!

MIZ

GO TIGERS! We are excited to cheer for Mizzou tonight and hope they can finally get a big road win against those Wildcats. Uncle Ray and Aunt Lyle, we hope you have fun in Lexington!

Claire loves to do the MIZ-ZOU chee r. This isn't the most enthusiastic rendition (taken earlier this week at the height of her ear infection) but still pretty cute.

Lately

We continue to explore KC. We took Claire to Winstead's (similar to Steak 'n Shake) a few weeks ago and Claire had her first milkshake. Verdict: she loved it.

On Saturday we went to the Kansas City zoo and got to see two playful polar bears: Nikita and Berlin. Claire seemed more interested in this fake polar bear though:

And the monkeys were really feisty on Saturday morning. See that little guy in the background with the glare?

Exploring our new city

Some of our recent adventures:

Claire gave the french fries at Swagger 2 greasy thumbs up. This is one of the local places featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. It was definitely a dive. She also liked playing the arcade games there. Check the hair. This is definitely a daycare style.

Sesame Street Live!

 On Monday we had fun running around Union Station/Science City gift store and enjoyed participating in Kansas City restaurant week at Lidia's.
