Weekend
We had a great weekend in KC! We arrived on Thursday, Adam went to his conference while Claire and I enjoyed walking around the plaza and hanging out by the pool on Friday. On Saturday, we celebrated Doc's retirement with a big bash at the Troutwine house. Didn't take a single picture during the party which is disappointing but here are a few pics we took this weekend:

Weekend
Monday again! We had a nice weekend that included a quick trip to St. Louis on Saturday to celebrate Kate and baby P (due in September). Kate looks great, it was a fun shower and I enjoyed seeing college friends. Adam and Claire also went to St. Louis on a top secret Father's Day mission that included a trip to Arnold, MO and then they went to the zoo before picking me up to drive back to Columbia. The rest of the weekend was pretty low key.

Claire's monthly photo shoot
A little late! Finding out what a challenge it is to take a picture of an active baby! These were some of my favorites though (we took over 30 pictures).
Health update: thanks to everyone for your care and concern, Claire is doing much better. Back to her happy little self. I have been sick though so sorry it has been so quiet around here. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Weekend
We weren't planning to go out of town this weekend so we had lots of plans to do stuff around town. Going to the hospital was not a part of our plans. On Saturday, Claire was acting kind of puny so Adam suggested that we call the nurse hotline to describe Claire's symptoms. The nurse spoke with the on-call pediatrician, and the doctor suggested we bring her to clinic. We decided to divide and conquer: Adam took Claire to her appointment while I mowed the lawn (I really didn't think this would be a big deal). I was wrong! X-rays showed some pneumonia on her right side and her blood work came back showing that she had an elevated white blood cell count and her little body was fighting infection. So we had a little sleepover at the hospital where Claire was born.  |

Thumbs up for Uncle Ben!
Congratulations, Uncle Ben!! He got a thumbs up from all 5 of his professors and is officially a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Texas!!
