Weekend

We weren't planning to go out of town this weekend so we had lots of plans to do stuff around town. Going to the hospital was not a part of our plans. On Saturday, Claire was acting kind of puny so Adam suggested that we call the nurse hotline to describe Claire's symptoms. The nurse spoke with the on-call pediatrician, and the doctor suggested we bring her to clinic. We decided to divide and conquer: Adam took Claire to her appointment while I mowed the lawn (I really didn't think this would be a big deal). I was wrong! X-rays showed some pneumonia on her right side and her blood work came back showing that she had an elevated white blood cell count and her little body was fighting infection. So we had a little sleepover at the hospital where Claire was born.

 

Not fun to see our baby hooked up to the IV, leads, etc. but she didn't seem to mind.

Perky on Sunday morning. We went home around 1PM.

Thinking about and sending lots of love to Grandma Louise and Grandpa Trueman, we hope you are out of the hospital very soon too!
